Roman Gods

Painted another picture, this time of the Roman gods Jupiter and Veiovis. I believe most people know who Jupiter is, since he is king of the Roman pantheon, but people are much less informed about Veiovis (aka Vediovis). Veiovis is viewed as an "anti-Jupiter." I think of him more as an entity escaped from Hell who is trying to fight on Heaven's side. He is the protector of the falsely accused, guardian angel of slaves and fighters refusing to surrender, and the lord of marshlands and earthquakes. (Jupiter is the lord of the skies and storms, so this one makes sense as far as the anti-Jupiter idea goes, aka ruler of earth vs. ruler of sky.) For more information, you can check out Wikipedia (direct link to Veiovis page).

The thing that kind of annoys me is that the scanner was not wide enough, so the sides got cut off a little. This was also the first time I have painted a beard, haha.
